Genesis auxiliaries are actively involved in a variety of volunteer opportunities, such as serving meals at our shelter, hosting craft nights at "Annie's House" with kiddos and participating in events to raise awareness in their company and community.

With the generous financial and time donations from our auxiliaries, we are able to continue growing and raising more awareness of domestic abuse. We do ask for annual membership fees for each of our groups.

Time commitments for all of our groups are flexible and can be adapted to your unique schedule. We appreciate the many different ways our auxiliary members support the women and children of Genesis.

While our auxiliary members can participate in all Genesis events, we host several events throughout focused on raising awareness and encouraging new memberships per each auxiliary.

• HeROs Membership Breakfast
  • Occurs in the beginning of the year, morning
  •  At this event we discuss HeROs, how men can help raise awareness in their community and the importance of men being involved in the fight to end domestic abuse.
• Masquerade
  • Occurs in the beginning of the year, normally between February-March
  • Our annual Masquerade is packed with fun activities, from a live band and dance floor to delicious food and adult beverages. Plus, it's held at popular venues like the Perot Museum in downtown Dallas!
• First Ladies' Bruncheon
  •  Occurs early-late fall
  • An annual faith based event benefitting Genesis at South Oak Cliff.
• Genesis Jamfest
  • Occurs in late fall, mid-afternoon or evening
  • A concert for a cause, the Genesis Jamfest is a fairly new event presented by the HeROs auxiliary. At this event you can find food, local vendors, adult beverages and some great music, all while raising funds for our cause.
