Annie’s House
The woman turning to Genesis for shelter and safety may have left her entire life behind. She may not have a bank account or a car. She may never have had access to her own finances and doesn’t know how to budget or find work. Sometimes, she just needs more time to rest and heal from trauma.
Annie’s House, our Transitional Housing Program at Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support, is for women who need more than the 8-week stay at our Emergency Shelter to get back on their feet. At Annie's House, she and her children will have their own fully furnished apartment at an undisclosed location for 6-12 months. There, she and her family can rest safely and acquire the tools needed to transition back into society.
