Advocacy
Case management services for survivors of domestic violence to assess individual's needs, identify goals from those needs and develop a plan to achieve those goals. Advocates provide guidance and support for areas such as family law assistance, employment, and housing resources, as well as long-term skills development and financial literacy opportunities. 

Safety Planning Support
Supportive safety planning services for women and children impacted by domestic violence, helping clients identify safe next steps, access available resources, and create personalized plans centered around safety stability and support. 

Referrals to Additional Genesis Services
Connection to additional Genesis programs and services based on individual or family needs, including specialized support resources (i.e. counseling and legal services)

GSD-A is committed to creating a welcoming, community-centered space where women and children can feel supported, informed, and connected. In addition to supportive services and resources, the center also aims to foster meaningful community engagement opportunities for those living and working in the surrounding area.

Examples of community-centered engagement opportunities may include:
• Monthly community events
• Family-centered activities
• After-school engagement opportunities
• Educational workshops and resource sessions
• Community partnership events

• Organize donation drives benefiting women and children of Genesis

• Tune in to a Genesis Podcast to learn more about the impact of domestic violence and related issues that affect women

• Invite a Genesis representative to speak at your business, school, church, or community event

• Partner with Genesis to support awareness and community outreach initiatives
  • Help spread awareness about available community resources and supportive services

• Attend a Genesis annual fundraiser or special event!

• Volunteer individually or as a group. We have multiple volunteer opportunities designed to fit your schedule
