Senior Director of Fund & Community Development

Position Summary:
The Senior Director of Fund & Community Development oversees the cultivation and growth of resources and relationships that allow the organization to achieve its annual budget, including stewarding both monetary gifts generated through special events, grants and community (third-party) events, as well as donations of goods, time and resources made by community groups and auxiliary members. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Director also molds and manages the communications strategy for various stakeholders including donors, board members, staff and clients, positioning Genesis as a thought-leader on the domestic violence response. This position works closely with CEO and other Senior Program Directors to oversee agency alignment with mission, vision and values.

Areas of Responsibility:
• Identifying, cultivating and diversifying resources
• Developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy
• Staff development, management and evaluation
• Strategic planning of multiple fundraising events
• Community relations

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of management experience with significant focus in leading multi-faceted teams and experience working closely with senior leadership. He/she will also be a creative thinker. Must be skilled in public speaking, writing and message development. Must have keen organizational vision. Bachelor’s degree required. Familiarity with the Dallas-area philanthropic landscape preferred.
