Non-Residential Office Manager

 

Position: Non-Residential Office Manager (Bilingual preferred)
Hours: Non-Exempt Full-Time
Supervisor: Director of Advocacy and Education
Program: Non-Residential Outreach Office

 

Position Purpose:

This position plays an integral role in operations and functions of Genesis’ non-residential services. This position is responsible for providing reception services and oversight of administrative and office functions. This position is supervised by the Director of Advocacy and Education, but also closely works with both the Senior Director of Operations and Building Management. Bilingual applicants preferred.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees facilities management
  • Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures
  • Oversees general office administration
  • Preparing office spaces for internal and external community meetings
  • Plays significant role in providing crisis hotline advocacy
  • Create a pleasant, and welcoming environment
  • Responsible to open the office daily
  • Maintain general appearance of common areas
  • Receive clients and notify client service staff of their arrival
  • Assist in the acceptance and organization of in-kind donations
  • Ensuring office compliance with risk management

 

Abilities:

  • Ability to speak fluent English and (preferably) Spanish
  • Ability to operate with empathy and compassion for the clients served
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding client/agency information
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Ability to work respectfully with many diverse teams
  • Must have excellent phone voice and demeanor that is pleasant and engaging
  • Ability to effectively handle escalations and time critical issues
  • Understanding of dynamics of family violence preferred
