Community Service Volunteer (Court Ordered)

Genesis Women's Shelter partners with the Volunteer Center of North Texas in helping individuals meet their Court Appointed Community Service hours.

All Genesis Community Service Volunteers must complete their hours at the Genesis Thrift Store located at 3419 Knight Street, Dallas, Texas 75219. The store is open Monday-Friday from 10am-5:30pm; Saturday from 10:00am-5:00pm; Sunday 1:00pm-5:00pm

Community Service Volunteers must complete the following steps before becoming a Genesis Women's Shelter volunteer.

4. Criminal Background Check
   All Genesis volunteers are subject to a criminal background check conducted by the Volunteer Center of North Texas.
   
   
5. Once your application has been processed our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you about how to get started at our Thrift Store 

Orientation and Training for Community Service Volunteers
Because all court ordered community service work is to be completed at the Genesis Thrift Store. Training and Orientation will be conducted on an individual basis upon arrival for your initial volunteer shift.
