The ACE Community Fund was established in 2004 as a way for ACE to give back to the communities it serves. The corporate giving program focuses on supporting organizations that help children, support education and promote financial literacy. Each year, ACE sets aside a percentage of the previous year’s net profit to support these worthwhile causes. Additionally, ACE associates dedicate their time to volunteering throughout the community. Since its inception, the ACE Community Fund has donated more than $7.3 million to charitable organizations throughout the nation. Genesis is proud to be a recipient of this fund!
The Baron and Blue Foundation strives to “enhance the function of non-profit organizations in the Dallas Community by assisting to maintain existing programs and further opportunities for grassroots organizations focusing on homelessness, transitional housing and the needs of the underserved.” Genesis Women's Shelter receives annual funding from The Baron and Blue Foundation that supports many of our services, including our women and children’s programming.
Capgemini has been an invaluable partner to Genesis Women's Shelter. The employees of Capgemini have supported Genesis families in many ways, through providing monthly meals for our families staying at the shelter to helping with our back-to-school backpack campaign to providing Christmas for a family. Capgemini has also exposed their clients to the benefit of donating time and resources to Genesis families, thereby increasing their impact and expanding the awareness of domestic violence to our community.

The Dallas Morning News Charities each year funds 24 local agencies that serve the homeless, the sick, the lost and the hungry. The generous support Genesis Women's Shelter has received from The Dallas Morning News Charities through the years has allowed us to keep our lights on and our doors open for the women and children who become instantly homeless and hungry when they make the incredibly brave decision to leave behind years of unspeakable abuse and paralyzing fear.
Chartered in 1988, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation became a granting body in 1999 dedicated to providing funds to non-profit organizations who provide “Charitable and legal aid for the public, including improving the delivery of legal services to the indigent and improving the administration of justice.” For nearly 10 years, DAYL has provided dedicated support to Genesis Women’s Shelter’s Emergency Legal Aid Program, helping women achieve independence from their abusers through critical support and funding of our Legal Programming.
Founded in 1985, the Dallas Women’s Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization operating as a community foundation. Granting $2.5 million annually, the Dallas Women’s Foundation has invested over $16.5 million in more than 1,000 programs, assisting more than half of a million of the regions’ women and girls. The Dallas Women’s Foundation is part of a global network of 160 women’s funds, and it is the largest regional fund in terms of investment assets. The Dallas Women's Foundation is at the center of a huge ripple effect. Its focus is on lifting the community. An investment in women - more than any other - is the fastest and surest way to strengthen the entire community. When you help a woman, you help her entire family. When you assist a family to break the cycle of poverty, you improve the entire community.
The partnership of Genesis Women's Shelter and the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas spans 25 years. Father Jerry Hill, a local Episcopal priest, witnessed a woman who came to a homeless shelter during the day but left in the evening because it was not safe for her to spend the night there. Through this woman, Father Hill and the Board of Shelter Ministries of Dallas recognized the unique needs and vulnerabilities of abused women and children. From that realization, Genesis Women's Shelter was born. Since our inception, our partnership with the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas has allowed us to meet our goal to remove any roadblocks that stand in our clients way, thus allowing them to concentrate on healing and gaining the tools they need to no longer depend on partners for economic and emotional support.

The incredible support of the Junior League of Dallas to Genesis Women's Shelter has helped grow our entire agency into an amazing state-of-the-art facility that promises results in the lives of women and children who have known domestic violence. Through countless numbers of volunteers and generous funding support, Genesis has been able to create a professional environment, hire an extensive team of experts, and address the growing and pervasive problem of domestic violence in Dallas. Since 1952, the Kimberly Clark Foundation has been “taking care and giving care” to communities. The K-C Foundation “responds to causes and programs with financial contributions, K-C product donations and volunteer time.” Financial and in-kind product support from The K-C Foundation has provided families of Genesis with Counseling, Case Management, food, shelter, clothing and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

Genesis Women's Shelter is eternally grateful and proud to partner with The Mary Kay Foundation in educating and empowering women to reach goals of success and self-sufficiency that once they were afraid to ever dream. The Mary Kay Foundation’s commitment to ending domestic violence is unparalleled in the business community. Every October, The Mary Kay Foundation observes National Domestic Violence Awareness Month by awarding grants to deserving women’s shelters across the United States. Because of grants and other funding from The Mary Kay Foundation, Genesis has been able to keep our doors open and our lights on for 25 years, as well as provide state-of-the-art services, all free of charge. The Mary Kay Foundation also generously donates cosmetics for the women of our Shelter who are forced to leave behind possessions as they search for safety. These in-kind donations not only replace what items were left at home, but also an improved self-esteem and the hope for a brighter future.
The Meadows Foundation exists to “assist people and institutions of Texas in improving the quality and circumstances of life for themselves and future generations.” Genesis Women's Shelter and The Meadows Foundation have a long-standing, strong partnership. The Meadows Foundation’s critical support has ensured that Genesis can provide life-saving services to the approximate 650 women and children who walk through our Emergency Shelter doors each year.

Genesis Women's Shelter is so grateful for our partnership with the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church Foundation that “turns gifts into legacies.” The support of PHPC is invaluable to the life-saving and life-changing programs we provide every day, including our Emergency Client Assistance Fund, our Food for Families Program, and Camp G where kids at our Shelter are able to forget the pain of the violence they witnessed and experience the joys of summer.
For over twenty five years, Shelter Ministries of Dallas has been providing programs and services free of charge to those in need at no cost to Dallas County tax payers. Privately funded, Shelter Ministries includes Austin Street Centre and Genesis Women’s Shelter whose goals are to shelter the homeless and victims of domestic violence, provide compassionate counseling through a ministry of caring and enable responsible choices and positive life changes.
The Society of Young Philanthropists, better known as SYP Dallas, is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization established by and for dedicated professionals interested in giving back to their local and global communities through contribution of their resources and skills. Through social, educational and volunteer events, the organization raises funds and awareness for philanthropic causes. Since the launch of its Dallas chapter in January 2010, they have partnered with several non-profits in the area, including Genesis Women’s Shelter, which served as SYP’s 2010 partner and debut gala beneficiary.

Wells Fargo is committed to supporting and improving local communities through three issue areas, including providing support to social and human service organizations whose work primarily benefits low- and moderate-income individuals. Wells Fargo has supported Genesis Women's Shelter by providing important funding for our Emergency Shelter, our 12-month Transitional Housing Program, and our After School and Day Care Program. The Women of St. Michael & All Angels have a unique and strong partnership with Genesis Women's Shelter. Through “Genesis Cooks,” The Women of St. Michael & All Angels prepare and deliver hot meals twice a month for the women and children of our Shelter. Funding support throughout Genesis’ history has also allowed us to provide critical services, including Emergency Client Assistance, Daycare and Children’s Programming.
