The Shareholders' Mission:
To raise awareness about family violence in the Dallas community and to support Genesis Women's Shelter in providing services to battered women and their children.
Why Should I Become A Shareholder?
The Dallas Morning News reports that 1 in 3 adult women will experience family violence. That's 1 in 3 of our sisters, mothers, daughters, wives, friends, and co-workers. Help us end the cycle of domestic violence.
Who are the Genesis Shareholders?
The Genesis Shareholders, formed in 2001, are a group of men and women dedicated to promoting domestic violence awareness and to supporting Genesis Women's Shelter. Shareholders hold two parties throughout the year at area restaurants, bars, and other venues. Also, the Genesis Shareholders now hold the annual Make The Break From Domestic Violence 5K Fun Run/Walk in the spring of each year.
What is the commitment to join Shareholders?
We will invite you to participate in volunteer opportunities, parties, and other Genesis events. All events are optional!
The Genesis Shareholders hold an annual membership drive Fall of each year. Shareholder dues are available at three different membership levels: Single Membership/$40 annually; Couple Membership/$75 annually; Patron Membership $100.
