Our Annual Fun Run directly supports the critical programs and services Genesis provides to battered women and children. This race has become a well-known community event for all ages and levels of fitness, and this year we are partnering with Run-On again as we expand our 5K route to include the streets of Uptown!

The 25th Anniversary 5K Course
In this special celebratory year, we are making an exciting change to our traditional Katy Trail course. This year the course will wind through the streets of Uptown!
The race will begin at the entrance to Reverchon Park on Maple Avenue and the first mile will follow beautiful Turtle Creek Boulevard. The second mile will turn up Blackburn, onto Cole Avenue and back along Cambrick to the newly constructed Katy Trail entrance. The final mile of the race will follow the Katy Trail back to Reverchon Park and all the post-race food, fun and activities.
This course is run by some of the premier race events in Dallas and Genesis is very excited to add this feature to the 6th Annual Make the Break from Domestic Violence 5K. We know you will love it!

Chip Timing
Disposable timing tags will be used for the 5k only. Age group awards will be determined by tag time.

All registered runners will receive a Make the Break t-shirt and sponsor goodie bag. Every effort will be made to guarantee requested shirt size while supplies last.

If you can't make the run on April 10 because you are out of town, have another commitment or if you just want to sleep in on race day, you can still participate! Signup as an MTB Online Web Runner and register your support for Genesis. As an online runner, you will receive a tshirt to show your valued involvement in this great event. You can even register the whole family as a Web Runner Team and support this great cause.
